Women's Art Project

A constant focus of my work is the immense contribution of women to the history of art. For years I have documented and researched these largely unknown woman artists noting the ways I am connected to them and how they inspire me.

 

This multi-layered acrylic painting contains fifty-eight names, written and carved into the paint. The Women’s Art Project is intended to spark interest in all women artists and give them the spotlight they so rightly deserve.  It is this artist’s hope that these names will ignite curiosity in the viewer and send them on their own journey of discovery.
